ATODA, in partnership with the listed allied health sector organisations below, is providing AOD Information and Harm Reduction training to workers in the ACT.
The training will commence in mid-April and will be facilitated by expert AOD trainer Annie Bleeker whom has worked in the alcohol and other drugs sector for over 25 years.
Each training session will be tailored to relate specifically to the workforces listed below.

The AOD training has been conducted with various workforces in the ACT for over a decade. Following completion of the training, participants will have improved knowledge and confidence in relation to contemporary ATOD information and harm reduction strategies.
The following topics will be covered in the training:
• Introduction to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in the ACT and Australia
• Values and attitudes to people who use alcohol, tobacco and other drugs
• Drug policy approaches
• Data and trends
• Harm reduction information and strategies
• Brief orientation to the alcohol, tobacco and other drug sector, providing referrals, and alcohol, tobacco and other drug screening tools
