Are you interested in learning about screening and brief intervention for substance use?
The Alcohol, Smoking and Substance Involvement Screening Test (ASSIST) is a validated tool developed by the World Health Organization. This one-day interactive workshop will provide an overview of the ASSIST and how you can conduct an effective Brief Intervention using the principles of Motivational Interviewing.
The workshop is designed for people working with clients who are at risk from their substance use. It is ideal for anyone working in Primary Health Care, Community Health or Mental Health Services.
The workshop is free, though limited to 12 places.
