Planning for the 2017 ATCA conference is well underway, with a number of keynote speakers in place, and three professional development workshops shaping up.
PD opportunities will include:
- Barry Evans, who will facilitate Preparing your TC for Certification under the ATCA Standard
- Robert Henderson, an Aboriginal artist from The Henderson Gallery, who will offer a workshop at The Henderson on Art Therapy, Trauma and Creative Practice
- And a third workshop which will address hepatitis C – Therapeutic Communities can, and do, play an important role in improving the health outcomes of people living with hepatitis C and can contribute to the reduction in the risk of residents developing advanced liver disease through access to early diagnosis, appropriate support for the management of co-morbidities and access to treatment with new, curative, Direct Acting Antiviral medication (DAAs).
The conference website is now live, and information can be accessed on the advisory committee, site visits, sponsorship opportunities, connect to the Pulman for accommodation bookings, and be transferred to the registrations page through http://events.atca.com.au/
This page is constantly being updated and will in the next few days, include information on Keynote speakers and Workshops.
The Call for Abstracts can also be accessed via the conference website. A key part of the ATCA conference is the presentations from our members and the sector. The closing date for all submissions is Friday 25 August 2017.
