Capacity Buidling and Strategic Partnership Project

The Capacity Building and Strategic Partnerships Project aims to support ACT alcohol, tobacco and other drug services to deliver coordinated, quality, evidence based services and build capacity to effectively identify, support and treat coinciding mental illness and substance misuse.

The Project is funded under the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageings’ Substance Misuse and Service Delivery Grants Fund (SMSDGF).

Project Objectives

The Project objectives are to:

  • Build sustainable linkages and strategic partnerships within the sector and the broader health sector.
  • Support service improvement activities including those specifically linked to improved front line service delivery.
  • Facilitate workforce development activities including education and workforce training.
  • Develop and / or disseminate targeted and relevant information including best practice policies and procedures support the identification and management of people experiencing comorbidity.
