Demand and Treatment Service Modelling Report – December 2021
ATODA was commissioned by the ACT’s local Public Health Network, the Capital Health Network (CHN), in 2021-22 to deliver demand and service modelling specific to the ACT using the Drug and Alcohol Service Planning Model (DASPM). This project was supported by the Drug Policy Modelling Program (DPMP), UNSW Sydney, and was guided by a dedicated Stakeholder Advisory Group convened by ATODA. Members of the Group included the CHN, the ACT Health Directorate, the DPMP, and Executives from specialist ATOD services in the ACT. The findings indicated that in the ACT up to 4,750 more people need treatment than are currently being treated through existing services, with an investment gap of approximately $24 million. The complete report can be read here.
